We want to return to some of those early days’ ideas when Agile was born in 2001 at The Lodge at Snowbird. Kent Beck’s vision was to heal the damage between business and development. His vision was that with just the right disciplines and just the right minimal process, a trust could develop between developers and business. He was the creator of extreme programming, one of the lightweight methodologies as they were called at that time. Other representatives of SCRUM, DSDM, Adaptive Software Development, Crystal, Feature-Driven Development, and Pragmatic Programming contributed to a Manifesto for Agile Software Development.
Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland marked the decade with the Scrum framework. An excerpt talking about closing the gap between people working for the same goal:
“When the values of commitment, courage, focus, openness, and respect are embodied and lived by the Scrum Team, the Scrum pillars of transparency, inspection, and adaptation come to life and build trust for everyone.” -Scrum guide
So why do we at TeamPoolz do what we do?
It is so hard to convey a message that by measuring, one can grow professionally. Developers, by writing better software. Business developers communicating and executing more efficiently.
Let the teams and those responsible for products and the whole organization choose and pursue goals for themselves. By doing this, materialize what is often an empty word – professional growth.
More than a company, TeamPoolz is a team of experienced developers on a mission. Our mission is to help individuals, teams, communities, and organizations increase their agility with our Agile Tools' aid. As a team of trusted practitioners, we aspire to create software tools that help people grow more humane workplaces, where people are not seen as resources but creative individuals, where people grow professionally as their organizations change and improve, where the creative power of people is unleashed in a (re-)humanized workplace.
Innovation is what drives us. Innovation is what we aim to share. We observe how organizations embark on a mission to become more Agile. Unfortunately, many of these transformations fail or end up delivering no more than an illusion of agility. Organizations with a clear Why stand a much better chance of succeeding. Our mission is to create tools so they can better fill in the How of their journey. Our tools do not replace the need for complementary support and services like education and coaching.
Our spark of innovation, our tool, a digital B2B SaaS platform, allows organizations to benchmark their current state of agility and suggest areas of improvement, guided by data, trends, and sets of metrics. We offer organizations means of inspection to uncover the most valuable adaptations in evolving towards a more humane and more successful customer-oriented organization.
Tools are resources. People are not. We build tools. We cannot build people or organizations. Our tools are designed to inspire you and your fellow-travelers to think and act using your creative potential in your work, your professional development, and increasing your agility.
