Customer base lifetime value is a performance metric that combines the size of the current customer base, the average length of the customer relationship, and the profit that can be derived from relationships on a recurring basis. For SaaS businesses, this tends to be the primary value driver of the company, and thus it should be very high on the priority list to focus on.
